In light of the current global situation, we are facing unprecedented challenges. This last week came as a significant shock, as we received multiple emails and calls from suppliers notifying us of price increases ranging from 5% to 20%. In particular, the cost of gloves has risen considerably. Additionally, restricting gloves order volumes to our usual quantities, limiting our ability to stock up.

As a result, we have made the difficult decision to pause onboarding new customers so that we can continue to prioritise and support our existing valued clients.

Due to rising costs, including fuel and essential goods, we have no alternative but to pass on some of these increases. While we have made every effort to absorb these costs where possible, it is no longer sustainable for us to do so without impacting the viability of our business.

Rather than implementing a single, substantial price increase, we will introduce gradual adjustments to help manage these rising expenses more effectively.

We remain hopeful that the current geopolitical situation will stabilise and that government intervention will help ease these pressures, allowing conditions to improve in the near future.

At Dispos, we’re taking meaningful steps to make our business more sustainable and responsible. One of the biggest changes we’ve made is sourcing more products from UK-based suppliers. By shortening our supply chain, we’re helping to significantly reduce our carbon footprint while supporting local businesses.

We’ve also expanded our range of eco-friendly products, including packaging made from recycled materials, recycled plastics and looked at products that are cruelty free and not tested on animals.

Sustainability isn’t just about what we sell — it’s also about who we work with. That’s why we’ve partnered with suppliers who share our values, including those who recycle all their Wrapmaster dispensers and replace them free of charge, ensuring that nothing goes to waste. One of our chemical suppliers are Planet Mark certified and have been for 4 years so far, they and have been recognised for their continuous improvement towards reducing their carbon footprint as a business

Innovation is also at the heart of our approach. Our glove supplier has invested heavily in research and development, working to pioneer a UK-made disposable glove that meets the standards to be fully home-compostable.
